Florida Degree of Photographic Excellence, Florida Education Degree, Florida Service Award
Thomas Bruce Studio has been a trusted name in Classical-style Fine Portraiture for over 40 years. When Carol Walker took over ownership of the studio in January 2009 from her good friend, mentor and founder, Bruce Evensen, she added a fresh, new Contemporary approach, bringing a unique blend of old school and new school. Carol has been an active member of the Florida Professional Photographers since 1996 and currently serves as President. In 2010 she was the recipient of the Past Presidents Award, a distinguished honor for her continued service to the FPP and the photographic industry. She is also an active member of the Professional Photographers of America, the Southeastern Professional Photographers and is a Past President and Life Member of the Tampa Area Professional Photographers Association. She holds the esteemed Master Degree of Photography, and her entries in state, regional and international competitions have won numerous awards, including her most recent work being selected for the prestigious Professional Photographers of America’s Loan Collection and Showcase Books. Carol has a beautiful daughter named Lexi, a rowdy little rescue fur-baby named Bella, and a ridiculously cute bunny named Ohno. She is slightly obsessed with Billy Joel, and always in the mood for dancing, wine and pizza!
